At the age of 94, she was still perfectly in the saddle and was often photographed by the paparazzi when the monarch rode through Windsor Park.

The future queen was fond of horse riding from an early age.

And in her youth, she even participated on horseback in various solemn ceremonies.

We got hold of one of the archival photos of the Queen, taken on June 10, 2006.

On the birthday of her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, Elizabeth II went horseback riding through the grounds of Windsor Castle.

She was wearing a beige cardigan and gray riding pants.

And also in white gloves and with a constant accessory on his head - a scarf.

Also, her lips were invariably painted with bright lipstick, that day pink.

The Queen was in a great mood and it can be seen in the photo.

Her husband, Philip, also loved horses, but in his mature years he preferred not to ride, but rather to drive a carriage.

This hobby was inherited from him by his granddaughter Lady Louise – the daughter of the youngest son of the royal couple – Prince Edward and Countess Sophie of Wessex.
