[Reporter Ou Sumei/Taichung Report] "By the Creek - Xu Shibin Oil Painting Solo Exhibition" will be on display at the Huludun Cultural Center in Taichung City from now until February 12!

Artist Xu Shibin uses his life experience and environmental experience to show the natural scenery and light and shadow changes of Shapu Land in the Zhuoshui River Basin through delicate realistic techniques, so that people who have lived in the city for a long time can temporarily escape from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the ever-changing countryside from the painting amorous feelings.

According to the Huludun Cultural Center, Xu Shibin was born in Ershui Township, Changhua, next to Zhuoshui River, formerly known as Luoxi. Xu Shibin loved painting since he was a child. He often painted vegetables and fruits grown in Shapu and fish and crabs in the stream.

After graduating from art and engineering, he put aside his dream of becoming a painter and engaged in commercial design work. After designing a painted wall for a client with a famous Van Gogh painting, he started the opportunity to create oil painting.

"By the Creek - Xu Shibin Solo Exhibition of Oil Paintings", through 30 paintings, such as the dark clouds in the sky before the rainstorm, the streamside reflected by the evening clouds, the farmers focusing on their mobile phones in the field, and the street vendors selling along the road, etc., the pictures are full of romantic atmosphere, Show strong emotion for hometown Luoxi.

Xu Shibin said that he planted fruits and vegetables on the farmland beside the sandbar of Zhuoshui River, and used oil paint to record the four seasons and the scenery along the river during the holiday farming life.

The work "Flying to the Leucaena" shows egrets flying freely over the wide valley and flying to the clover bushes; "By the Stream in the Morning Breeze" describes the awn flowers in the valley dancing with the wind in the morning mist; "Sound" refers to the stream that soars after the summer rain, as if you can hear the waves roaring like thunder.
