The adoptive parents of a 4-year-old boy have been charged with murder.

The child died as a result of injuries caused by violence, said authorities in North Carolina, quoted by "Inside edition".

The cause of the child's death was abuse, including exorcism and denial of food.

On January 5, paramedics arrived at the parents' home after a report that the boy had suffered a seizure.

The child was transported to a local hospital where he died four days later.

The parents have not yet hired a lawyer.

Their first court appearance is scheduled for March 6.

"Treated" bisexual with exorcism

Investigators allegedly found a cell phone photo of the boy "wrapped" in a sheet and taped to the floor.

And more: that the children were subjected to exorcisms, denied food and tightly wrapped in "swaddle" blankets.
