An event on "National leader Heydar Aliyev and the youth of Azerbaijan" was held on the occasion of February 2 - Youth Day, organized by the Trade Union of Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

APA reports referring to the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications that the event was attended by Lieutenant General Etibar Mirzayev, Deputy Minister of Emergencies, Javanshir Alkhasov, Deputy Chairman of the Confederation of Azerbaijan Trade Unions, Chief of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Major General Fuzuli Asadov, Chairman of the Union of Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Mehman. Ismayilov and a group of employees of the ministry participated.

First, the participants of the event paid tribute to the dear memory of the Great Leader by placing flowers in front of the bust of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

After the National Anthem was played, the memory of Heydar Aliyev, the genius leader of the Azerbaijani people and our martyrs who died for the territorial integrity and independence of our country, was commemorated with a minute of silence.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Etibar Mirzayev said that the basis of the successful youth policy in our republic was laid by our national leader Heydar Aliyev, and said that the state always pays special attention and care to the youth.

Deputy Minister Heydar Aliyev, who highlighted the special work of the genius leader in helping young people of Azerbaijan to study in prestigious universities and gain successful careers in the former Soviet Union, noted that Heydar Aliyev always pays special attention to increasing the potential of national personnel, including national military personnel.

After the Great Leader returned to power for the second time at the request and insistence of the people, a new era began for the youth of Azerbaijan.

E. Mirzayev added that the progressive state youth policy, which was founded by the national leader Heydar Aliyev, is currently being successfully continued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

Muzaffar stated that as a result of the visionary and wise policy of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the patriotic youth army has grown up and this young generation has confirmed itself once again in the 44-day war that ended with a great victory.

Then the Deputy Minister congratulated the participants on the occasion of the Youth Day on behalf of the Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov, and wished them success.

Mehman Ismayilov, the chairman of the Trade Union of Ministry of Foreign Affairs employees, said in his speech that on the initiative of the national leader of our people, Heydar Aliyev, February 2 was celebrated as Youth Day in Azerbaijan since 1997.

M. Ismayilov emphasized that today, the youth of Azerbaijan, adhering to the political course of national leader Heydar Aliyev, closely united around Mr. President Ilham Aliyev, successfully working in all spheres of public life as equal members of our society, contribute to the development of our state.

Javanshir Alkhasov, Deputy Chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan, said in his speech that today the state of Azerbaijan has created all conditions for the youth of Azerbaijan to grow carefree, get a decent education and engage in appropriate work.

Speaking at the event, other employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spoke about the unparalleled services of the national leader Heydar Aliyev to the state and people of Azerbaijan, and said that they will continue to unite closely around the worthy follower of the Great Leader's political ideas, the President, the victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, as always.

After the speeches, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, 100 young employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, who have distinguished themselves while performing their duties, were awarded with honorary certificates and valuable gifts by the Trade Union of Ministry of Foreign Affairs employees.
