Queen Elizabeth II's son, who reached a settlement with Ms Giuffre in February 2022, is said to be planning to try to overturn it.

For this, he hired two Hollywood lawyers, Blair Burke, who is known in narrow circles as a "Rottweiler" (her clients include film producer Harvey Weinstein, Leonardo DiCaprio and Reese Witherspoon), and Andrew Brettler, with whom Ms. Burke recently formed a law firm in Los Angeles , writes express.co.uk.

It is known that the Duke of York has instructed lawyers to study the possibility of canceling the year-old agreement.

To do so, Andrew would have to file a motion to vacate the settlement agreement and prove that things like mistake, accident, fraud, or duress occurred.

We will remind, in the summer of 2021, Virginia Giuffre filed a civil lawsuit in New York against Prince Andrew, whom she accused of sexual violence when she was 17 years old.

The Duke has always denied his guilt, and in the plea agreement, he stated that he considered Virginia the victim of ill-treatment and public attacks.

But again, he did not admit his guilt.

Since 2019, Prince Andrew does not perform royal and public duties, having decided to retire from business.

Last year, the prince returned his royal patronages and military ranks to the late queen.

And in February 2022, he concluded the same agreement, according to which he had to pay Mrs. Giuffre an amount estimated at between 7 and 12 million pounds and contribute 2 million to the Virginia Giuffre charity fund.

At the same time, the Duke said he regretted his friendship with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein and admitted that Virginia was a victim of circumstances, but did not admit that he was involved in sexual abuse.
