Aamir Khan's 'Rang De Basanti' completes 17 years

Bollywood's Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan's film 'Rang De Basanti' was released in 2006 and it spread the colors of new age patriotism.

'Rang De Basanti' was a forceful script that re-imagined the traditional portrayal of patriotism by injecting the enthusiasm and emotions of the youth as well as their influence in the patriotic landscape of our country.

Today marks 17 years of its huge success at the box office and hence celebrating the same, fans have trended the film with the hashtag #17yearsofRDB.

Fans celebrated Republic Day and 17 years of the release of 'Rang De Basanti'.

Released in 2006, Rang De Basanti was directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.

The film stars Aamir Khan, Siddharth, R Madhavan, Atul Kulkarni, Soha Ali Khan, Sharman Joshi, Kunal Kapoor, Waheeda Rehman and British actress Alice Patten.
