There was a stabbing incident in Sheki.

According to APA's North-West Bureau, the husband and wife injured each other with a knife during a family conflict.

Both persons were admitted to Sheki District Central Hospital.

A surgical operation was performed on the husband.

Since the woman's injuries were minor, she received the necessary medical assistance and was discharged home.

An investigation is underway at the Sheki City-District Police Department.

Police captain Mahir Masimov, chief inspector of the Sheki regional group of the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, said in response to APA's inquiry that there was a dispute between Sheki residents Khagani Nuriyev and his wife Gunesh Nuriyeva.

During the dispute, Kh. Nuriyev slightly injured his wife's throat with a knife.

Later, X. Nuriyev injured himself with a knife.

Investigative investigations have been started in the Sheki City Police Department regarding the issue, forensic medical expertise will be appointed in order to determine the degree of injuries in both persons.
