Recently, one of the nutrition systems that allows you to control your weight is the keto diet.

But keto isn't the only low-carb diet out there, Womans World brings to our attention an even more carnivorous version of the diet, which it calls the "carnivore diet."

How the meat diet works

It is a nutritional system that provides the perfect combination of nutrients to suppress hunger and activate rapid fat burning in every single cell.

According to some estimates, this diet works about 40 percent faster than the traditional keto diet.

People who follow a carnivore diet flood their bodies with healing amino acids, so conditions like eczema, diabetes, joint pain, thyroid disease and autoimmune problems often improve significantly, dieters say.

Paul Saladino, MD, author of The Carnivore Code, says that when people first learn that a carnivore diet eliminates vegetables and all plant foods, they often wonder if it's safe.

According to Saladin, the diet is not only safe for most of us, it has a healing effect on health.

The doctor claims that the plants contain inflammatory chemicals to protect themselves from being eaten by insects and animals.

These chemicals can secretly wreak havoc within us.

That's why problems with the gastrointestinal tract are often solved when people switch to a carnivorous eating style, Saladin believes.

How to restore metabolism

The carnivore diet works in part like a keto diet.

According to Dr. Saladino, because you prefer animal foods to plant foods, you can't make enough blood sugar.

Your body starts running on ketones, a type of fuel made entirely from fat.

Keto is great, but carnivores take things to a whole new level, according to the doctor.

This is partly due to the large amount of stearic acid that meat eaters get from sources like salmon and marbled beef.

Studies cited by Saladino show that when we don't get enough stearic acid, our body shuts down fat burning.

And when we get too much of it after becoming carnivores, it reactivates the little motors in our cells that have been dormant, causing a burst of fat burning.

Other nutrients in animal products, including coenzyme Q10, riboflavin, zinc, and vitamins B6, B12, and K, have been shown to increase the body's ability to burn calories.

And getting a large amount of protein stimulates the formation of muscles that speed up metabolism.

In general, the effect is so powerful that the diet of a carnivore can revive a "dead" metabolism.

What to eat on a diet

Whether you're using a carnivore diet as an initial or long-term plan, the goal is to avoid processed foods and plants.

Dairy products, eggs, fish, poultry and meat are the main foods.

Spices, extracts and a little stevia will do.

If you want to add plant-based foods for variety, stick to foods low in inflammatory compounds, such as olives, berries, and zucchini.

The diet doesn't mean plant-based foods have to be cut out of your diet forever, after an initial period most carnivore dieters experiment and add back some low-sugar vegetables, nuts and fruits.

If you've always loved meat, cheese and eggs and want to boost your metabolism by trying a carnivore diet, you should first discuss it with your doctor.

It's always good to make healthy changes to your lifestyle or diet, but the first step should always be to discuss the idea with a professional.

A person may have certain body chemistry or family history that may prevent them from following this diet, and your doctor may have other dietary recommendations for you.

Getting his permission is especially important if you have kidney or iron problems.
