On January 19-21, the delegation led by Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev visited the Kingdom of the Netherlands on a business trip.

First, the delegation came to the embassy of our country in The Hague and visited the bust of the national leader of our people, Heydar Aliyev.

Later, the Prosecutor General met with Ladislav Hamran, the President of the European Union Criminal Justice Cooperation Agency (Eurocast).

Greeting the delegation, the head of Eurocast first of all expressed his condolences to Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev on January 20.

Ladislav Hamran noted that the European Union's crime fighting bodies, especially Eurocast, are interested in expanding cooperation with the prosecutor's offices of our country.

Expressing his gratitude for the invitation, Kamran Aliyev gave detailed information about the legal reforms carried out in the prosecutor's office under the leadership and recommendations of President Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

The Prosecutor General said that the development of cooperation with Eurocast is of particular importance in terms of the expansion of international relations, which is part of the reforms.

Taking into account that Eurocast plays the role of a bridge between more than 70 countries in the fight against various manifestations of organized crime, an agreement was reached on close cooperation with this institution in the future.

Within the framework of the visit, a meeting was held with the director general of the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP), Catherine Bomberger.

At the meeting held in an effective discussion format, Kamran Aliyev said that 3,896 Azerbaijanis went missing during the 1st Karabakh and Patriotic War, many of them were tortured and buried in mass graves.

The Prosecutor General emphasized that Armenia has taken a non-constructive position on this issue and noted that a small number of remains were handed over during the past period.

The importance of cooperation in this field was emphasized, taking into account ICMP's advanced experience in identifying remains.

Later, the Commission's laboratories were inspected, and the organization of an educational trip for prosecutors-criminologists of our country was discussed.

The Prosecutor General also held a meeting at the Secretariat of the International Prosecutors Association (IPA), which is located in The Hague and has cooperated effectively with the prosecutor's offices of our country for many years.

During the meeting with Secretary General of the organization Han Moraal, Executive Director Yanne Holst-Hübner and General Counselor Shenaz Muzaffer, thanks were expressed to the Prosecutor General of our country, Vice President of BPA Kamran Aliyev for his constant support to the activity of the organization, including the secondment of the prosecutor's office employee of our country to the Secretariat of the Association.

A number of organizational issues related to the 29th Annual Conference and General Meeting of the Association, which will be hosted by our country in September 2024 and will be attended by prosecutors from all over the world, were discussed.

Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of our country to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Rahman Mustafayev participated in the meetings.
