A serious traffic accident was registered in Binagadi district of Baku.

APA reports that the accident was registered in Bilajari settlement.

45-year-old Khayyam Alasgarov was hit by a car with license plate number 02-BL-612, who was trying to cross the road not designated for pedestrians at Rashid Ismayilov 17.

The driver who caused the incident, Asadov Adalat Magsud oglu, immediately turned to the emergency medical brigade.

The wounded man was taken to the Clinical Medical Center with the diagnosis of open skull brain trauma and fracture of the right leg bone.

His condition is assessed as serious.

The driver's explanation was received by the employees of the Binagadi District Police Department.
