In order to prevent illegal coal production on the territory of the country, during the next control measures carried out by the employees of the State Environmental Security Service, the share lands and backyards of citizens located in Nic settlement of Gabala district, Tayifli of Oguz district, Bash Shabalid of Sheki district, Shotavar of Gakh district, Zurnabad of Goygol district were illegally 18 coal wells producing charcoal were discovered.

According to APA, the official of the service, Bahruz Mahammadov, said that during the investigation, Semyon and Rudik Gugashovlar, residents of Gabala district, Muhammed Alcanov, Manaf Mammadov, Elgun Shukurov, Rafig Sadigov, Elmar Abdulazizov, resident of Sheki district, residents of Oguz district were identified as illegal coal producers. Hajiyev, Gakh district residents Yalchin Babayev, Narman Shahmaliyev, Vugar Musayev, Goygol district residents Abdulla Allahverdiyev, Kamil Mahmudov, Elnur Verdiyev, Yashar Gasimov, Rafig Huseynov, Shahin Musayev and Rasim Aliyev were identified.

A report on the facts was drawn up, legal measures were taken against the guilty persons and the discovered coal wells were closed:

"It should be noted that digging wells in fertile lands and preparing charcoal by artisanal method primarily causes human health, as well as the occurrence of forest fires, spoiling the fertile layer of the soil, and pollution of the atmosphere."

The official of the service called on the citizens engaged in illegal coal production not to allow such situations, the elders of the villages where coal is produced, and the executive representatives to show an uncompromising position against those engaged in this work and to report such cases to the "168 Call Center" of the Ministry.
