The 2023 Taiwan Lantern Festival will debut in Taipei. The Taipei Viewing Bureau and Nintendo of America will cooperate so that Pokémon players can catch treasure while visiting the Lantern Festival. The event will be held in the four exhibition areas of "2023 Taiwan Lantern Festival in Taipei". The event period will be from February 10th to 12th, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm every day.

The Taiwan Lantern Festival will come to Taipei again after 23 years, with the theme of "Light Source Taipei", which means lighting up the city with the light of hope and leading everyone to the future through light.
Planning 4 major exhibition areas, 1 main lamp, 6 auxiliary lamps, exhibiting more than 300 works and connecting 12 administrative lamp areas in series, so that the Taiwan Lantern Festival and Taipei City can reflect each other.
The exhibition area extends from Zhongxiao Fuxing Station, Zhongxiao Dunhua Station, Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall Station, MRT City Hall Station to Taipei 101 Station, linking East District, Xinyi District, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall, Taipei 101 and other urban landmarks and business districts.
