The royal couple was warmly welcomed by the public near the local town hall.

The couple were then taken to meet representatives from a range of groups, from the city's Interfaith Council and Community Solidarity Association to Bolton Asian Elders (who support diaspora groups) to the Bolton Holiday Program and the Food Program, which supports low-income families with food.

Queen Camilla followed Queen Elizabeth II's example again today and appeared in public wearing a long beige coat, a printed dress underneath and high heeled beige boots.

Camille had a light scarf around her neck, she was wearing leather gloves and she was carrying a small leather bag from Chanel.
