New Delhi:

These days shows like Wednesday in the American OTT platform Netflix are winning the hearts of fans.

At the same time, new shows are being added one after the other on this platform.

Meanwhile, its founder Reed Hastings has resigned from the post of CEO on Thursday, which has shocked many people.

There are reports that Netflix has had more than 230 million global subscribers since last year.

His shares had fallen by 38 per cent last year.

However, after some time there was an increase of 6.1 percent in the business.

Netflix has announced that co-founder Reed Hastings is stepping down as CEO, ending a two-decade-long tenure that has seen the company grow from a rental mail DVD service to an entertainment tool.

Hastings said in a blog post that he would take the new job of executive chairman, a role often held by founders of tech giants, for example Jeff Bezos of Amazon and Bill Gates of Microsoft.

Reed is stepping down as CEO of Netflix after a nearly 25 year run.
