The "Kraken" sub-variant of the coronavirus has been registered in Greece

The evolution of the coronavirus has continued in the direction of the appearance of more infectious sub-variants, which, compared to the previous ones, do not cause more severe diseases, especially compared to the Delta variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the institute points out.

Therefore, we use the opportunity to once again urge citizens to get vaccinated and to get a booster dose of bivalent vaccine at the recommended intervals, because those who are properly vaccinated have a milder clinical picture and a more favorable outcome of the disease.

The Institute of Public Health of Montenegro continues to monitor the situation regarding the emergence of the new sub-variant of the coronavirus in Montenegro and, in accordance with the data received, will regularly inform the public, the announcement added.
