As a result of a special operation carried out by police officers, members of an organized criminal group consisting of 4 members of Iranian citizens engaged in the sale and illegal circulation of drugs in the country were detained.

According to the information provided to APA by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the event, which took place on the basis of operational information received by the General Anti-Narcotics Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the citizens of the mentioned country, Ata Maleki, his brother Pouya, as well as his relatives Ali Maleki and Shishen, who were students of the Medical University temporarily living in the capital Maleki was detained.

On them and in the house where they lived together, about 1 kilogram of various narcotics, a large amount of money obtained from the sale of drugs and electronic scales were found.


As a continuation of the operational measures, Heybat Hasanov, who cooperated with Iranian citizens in the sale of drugs, was arrested and submitted to the investigation.

More than 2 kilograms of marijuana and 4 hemp bushes were found from this person.


During the initial investigation, the gang members, named "Araz" and "Huseyn", said that they organized the online sale and illegal circulation of drugs in Baku city and other regions of the Republic on the instructions of their compatriots, whose identities are under investigation.

For this purpose, the members of the gang created a drug network and tried to attract mostly young people to drug delivery in exchange for various false and tempting promises.


A criminal case was initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code regarding the fact, and preventive measures were taken against Ata, Pouya, Ali and Shishen Maleki, as well as Heybat Hasanov.

Operational measures are being continued to arrest the other members of the drug network, which these persons belong to, inside and outside the country.
