Cases of "fluron" - the co-infection between influenza virus and COVID-19, are isolated.

There's no point in making a sensation.

General practitioner Dr. Miroslav Spasov expressed this opinion on Nova TV.

"During the COVID pandemic, when the strict measures were in place, we general practitioners had the obligation to set aside "green corridors" for children's consultations and immunizations. Now with the flu, this is not on the agenda, and we are forbidden to carry out this activity. And it is a major pillar in the financing of our activity. How are we going to pay our staff salaries?" he pointed out.

He explained that his practice every Tuesday and Thursday between 1 and 7 pm is a "green corridor" for healthy babies for consultations.

"During this interval adults do not enter.

Not sick or with symptoms.

And the mothers are calm and the babies are taken care of.

This problem can be solved through RZI in agreement with the chief state health inspector and the Ministry of Health".

Doctor Spasov also commented on the two cases of "fluron" - the co-infection between influenza virus and COVID-19.

"There are both viruses.

If we are not careful, we can get infected.

There are patients who have not had COVID-19 and can become infected.

There are also those who have weaker immunity and can catch the flu.

Cases of the two viruses occurring at the same time are rare and there is no point in making a sensation", he is categorical.

There are three cases of co-infection of influenza and COVID in children

Plovdiv is the next district that announced a flu epidemic.

The region is introducing a number of restrictions, but for now, students will not be dismissed on forced flu vacation.

Preventive measures are introduced in childcare facilities, hospitals and nursing homes.

Visits to medical facilities, women's and children's consultations, as well as immunizations are prohibited.
