In winter, when our skin suffers from temperature changes and dehydration, and the whole body feels a lack of vitamins and sunlight, make-up and care procedures should, if possible, compensate for all these troubles.

The Sun talks about what beauty mistakes we make in winter and how to fix them.

Buy two sets of foundation products

In winter, you must change the color of foundation and concealer.

Continuing to use the shades of foundation and concealer you've been using all summer will make your makeup look like a mask, and you'll notice a stark difference between your face and neck.

Ideally, you should have two sets of foundations and mix them for use in the off-season.

Use bronzer

Another make-up mistake is that you don't "warm up" your face with sun shades.

Very often in winter, our skin loses its glow and looks pale and a little earthy.

In this case, it is worth using a bronzer, which will return to your face part of that summer glow that we love so much.

If you have too light skin and bronzer does not suit you, try using a cream blush.

Avoid too dark eyes and lips

When winter comes, it can be tempting to go for darker colors, but if you have a lot of wrinkles, this can make the problem worse because the uneven lip line will become more obvious.

Change your care routines

The biggest mistake people make is not adjusting their skincare routines to accommodate the cold, dry winter months.

This can cause the makeup to look uneven: emphasize flaking or greasy shine in some areas.

Take care of your skin by adding extra hydration.

This may mean adding a more intensive moisturizer or using several moisturizing and nourishing masks per week.

Also, don't forget about peels, which will remove the top layer of dead skin from your face to give you a fresher and more radiant look.

Do not abuse the powder

Applying a thick layer of powder on your face is not the best solution because during the colder months our skin tends to be much drier than usual, so using too much powder makes it look dull and can accentuate dryness and flaking.

Apply powder only to areas of the face that are prone to shine.

It is best to apply a fine pressed powder only to the T-zone.
