The Kisutu Resident Magistrate's Court, Dar es Salaam, has convicted and sentenced Dibron Saidi to death by hanging for the crime of killing his wife, Herieth Justine by stabbing her three times.

The judgment was read today by the Chief Resident Magistrate, Evodia Kyaruzi, who was hearing the case and said that the court found that the arguments made by the accused while giving a defense were not true.

He said that the defendant defended himself by stabbing Herieth due to the anger he had for being answered with disgusting words, after he found her having sex with another man in the alley.

However, the Judge questioned how he could bear to stab him when he found him doing that act and stab him with the words he was giving the deceased?

The judge also questioned that when he found him there was a stampede, which he claimed lasted for ten minutes before the man who found him ran away, why didn't he stab him that time if he was angry.

He also said that the accused claimed that he stabbed the deceased once, but the report of the medical examination together with the information of witness number three who witnessed the accused stabbing him and witness number four who was handed over the body for burial show that he stabbed him three times.

He also said that the accused claimed that the deceased slipped on a banana peel and fell into the knife he was holding, but it was not true.

So he said with those arguments, together with the evidence given by six witnesses, the prosecution side is sufficient to convict him of the crime of killing Herieth intentionally.

In the case, it is alleged that on March 11, 2018 in the Vingunguti Majengo area, Dibron Saidi killed Herieth Justine by stabbing her several times, claiming that he had tried to kill himself by stabbing himself with a knife without success.
