The officers of the Shamakhi District Police Department conducted operations against persons involved in the circulation of drugs and illegally possessing firearms in the territory of the district.

According to the information provided to APA by the Sheki regional group of the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the first operation, Baku resident Babek Nuriyev, who was suspected of selling various types of drugs, and who had been convicted several times before, was detained.

During a private search, about half a kilogram of dried marijuana, more than 400 grams of opium and 167 grams of heroin were found and seized.

As a result of other operations conducted by police officers, 3 more people were detained - Orkhan Abushov, Tajaddin and Rashid Mustafayev.

During the inspection, heroin was found from O. Abushov, marijuana from T. Mustafayev, and opium from R. Mustafayev and handed over to the investigation as material evidence.

Regarding the facts, criminal cases have been initiated in the investigation department of the district police department, investigative and operational measures are being continued.

During the operation carried out by the officers of the department in order to detect and take illegally stored firearms and ammunition, 5 hunting rifles without relevant documents were taken from the residents of the region - Radil Orujov, Safar Gaydarov, Ramin Garayev, Ismet Zeynalli and Alvan Jabrayilov.

Regarding those persons, a protocol was drawn up and sent to the district court for consideration under the relevant article of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
