◎Food tonic

From the point of view of traditional Chinese medicine, the nature of food can be divided into cold, hot, warm and calm, and the human body can be divided into yin, yang, qi and blood. Medicines are not to be used at will

◎Medicinal tonic

Many people admire precious medicinal materials, and believe that the more expensive medicinal materials are more nourishing, so they blindly take ginseng, cordyceps, bird's nest, pilose antler and other medicinal materials.

For example, there are many differences in the most commonly used ginseng for tonic.

There are three kinds of common ginseng, namely ginseng, Codonopsis pilosula, and heterophylla.

All three are common medicines for invigorating qi and invigorating the spleen, but their potency and properties are different.

●Ginseng is the strongest in replenishing qi and can greatly invigorate vitality, but it is not suitable for people with unstable blood pressure, dry and hot constitution, and damp heat.

● Codonopsis not only nourishes the spleen and stomach, but also nourishes qi. It also has the effect of nourishing blood, but the power of invigorating qi is insufficient.

●Pseudostellariae Pseudostellariae is weaker than the above two in invigorating qi, but it has the effect of promoting body fluid, so it is relatively more suitable for many patients with body heat and dryness.

Most modern people don't need a lot of supplements, let alone substitute medicine for food or rely too much on medicine supplements.

Many foods are also good tonics. Choosing the right tonic method according to your own physique in winter, reducing greasy and nourishing tonics, and supplementing enough nutrients is the best winter tonic.
