On January 13, the strong wind that blew in the second half of the day caused damage in a number of regions of the country, including damage to power lines and roofs of buildings.

According to APA, a strong wind blew away a part of the roof of Jafar Jabbarli's house-museum in Khizi district, which is surrounded by Sumgayit Regional Culture Department (RMI).

In addition, the lines supplying the museum building with electricity were broken.

After the incident, representatives of the Sumgayit Regional Culture Department inspected the house-museum and assessed the damage to the building and the electricity industry, according to the order given immediately by the Ministry of Culture.

On January 14, the electricity supply to the museum was restored.

The work on the restoration of the roof of the building has been started.

It should be noted that the house-museum of prominent poet, dramatist, screenwriter Jafar Jabbarli (1899-1934) in Khizi was started as a public house-museum in 1956 at the initiative of the writer's wife Sona khanim Jabbarli.

After 13 years, it was registered as a museum.

In 1999, reconstruction works were carried out in the museum, and in 2019, repair and restoration works were carried out in the museum.

The exposition of the museum includes household items of J. Jabbarli's family, books of the writer, photos from the performances of his works, archive documents, etc.
