The Faculty of Law of Baku State University (BSU) works effectively both in the organization of the educational process and in the direction of coordinating theory and practice in the field of scientific research.

According to the information given to APA by the university, proposals for the development of jurisprudence and the improvement of legislation are among the priority directions in the scientific conferences and seminars organized by the faculty, in the activities of the faculty as experts, including in the teaching process.

For this purpose, the necessity of criminalizing actions such as ecocide and urbicide, which are of great relevance and cause concern to the society due to their social danger, was discussed at the meeting of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Law.

A proposal was made by the faculty to expand the range of acts that threaten the peace and security of humanity in the current criminal legislation.
