The Duke of Sussex shared with readers the relationship between his wife Meghan and his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.

Prince Harry revealed that Meg became close to Her Majesty during their train trip to Cheshire together on June 14, 2018, a month after the couple's wedding.

Harry recalls that Meghan was under a strong and very positive impression when she returned home.

She said that she shared her dream of becoming a mother with Elizabeth II.

And the queen, in turn, gave the Duchess of Sussex advice and it sounded like this: "The best way to induce labor is to drive a car over potholes," said the monarch.

Duchess Meghan wasn't pregnant at the time, but she was very impressed with Her Majesty's advice.

"When she came home, she was just glowing," writes Harry, as quoted by the Daily Mail.

He says Meghan and Queen Elizabeth II became friends and it marked a special moment of hope for the couple.

Five months later, the couple announced they were expecting their first child, first telling the Queen and the Prince of Wales and then the rest of the family during a reception at Princess Eugenie's wedding in October 2018.

Their son Archie was born at a Portland hospital on May 6, 2019, and Harry said he couldn't remember if the couple had tried his grandmother's recommended method of inducing labor with a bumpy car ride.
