A resident of Ucar district, who hid a large amount of drugs in a grain store in his yard, was arrested

Anar Aliyev, a resident of the Yukhari Chiyni village of the region, who was suspected of dealing in the illegal circulation and sale of narcotics, was arrested as a result of the operational measures conducted by the officers of the Ujar District Police Department.

According to the information provided to APA by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the inspection of his residence by police officers, a large amount of narcotic drugs were discovered in the auxiliary building located in the yard and used as a grain store.

Thus, 300 pieces of marijuana packed in a matchbox and 17 pieces of paper wrapped with a net weight of 1 kilogram 580 grams, hidden by A. Aliyev under barley grains, were discovered and taken away.

During the interrogation, A. Aliyev said that he prepared that marijuana from the hemp bushes he cultivated in his backyard in May of last year.

In addition, Mammad Abdullayev, a resident of the district who was previously convicted for drugs, was also detained during another operational measure conducted by the department's employees in the same direction.

During the inspection of that person, marijuana packed in two matchboxes was found and taken from him.

A criminal case was opened in the Investigative Department of Ujar Police Station regarding both facts, and preventive measures were taken against the arrested persons.

Investigations are ongoing.
