The latest situation on the republic's highways has been announced.

Police Major Rovshan Tagiyev, head of the Department of the Main State Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, told APA that there are no restrictions on any road in the republic.

"It's just that for a certain period of time, traffic on some roads is temporarily suspended for the smooth movement of special equipment for road cleaning, and traffic is restored for a short period of time.

Traffic is not completely restricted on any of the highways.

However, in some directions, vehicles without seasonal tires, trucks and buses are diverted to alternative roads for safety reasons.

In such cases, patrol cars also accompany those vehicles until they take them to a safe place."

There is no generally restricted road in the Republic.

Police major Rovshan Taghiyev, head of the Department of Traffic Safety Promotion and Relations with Public Institutions of the General State Traffic Police Department (STP), informed APA about this.

He said that since the night, due to heavy snowfall in some regions, all employees of the road patrol service have been working in an enhanced mode.

"Cars are not allowed to move individually on dangerous roads.

They moved in the form of a kalon.

A patrol was appointed by the Traffic Police and observed the moving vehicle.

On the Shamakhi-Ismayilli road, the movement of trucks and buses and minibuses carrying passengers was not allowed.

They were given an alternative way.

They acted under the observation of the patrol.

In addition, the roads are cleared of snow by the employees of the State Agency of Azerbaijan Highways and the State Traffic Police.

The DYP official once again addressed the drivers and said that they should first pay attention to the technical condition of the vehicle:

"We ask that the drivers who go on the road make the tires suitable for the winter season.

Because the presence of seasonal tires leads to the sliding of cars, accidents or traffic jams on the roads.

We ask drivers once again to pay attention to requests to ensure safety on the roads."
