Blagoi Georgiev is among the most famous Bulgarian football players.

He began his football career in the "Slavia" team, where he played until 2004. With this team, he played 168 "A" group matches and scored as many as 45 goals.

In 2015, he went on loan to the Spanish "Deportivo Alaves", and then - to the Serbian giant "Red Star", where he scored 2 goals in 32 matches.

He also played for "Duisburg" - a team from the German First Bundesliga, and for the Russian "Terek Grozny", where he is the captain.

Apart from his football skills, Blagoi is also famous for his love for God, which is infinite.

As a sign of gratitude to the Creator, he built two chapels - one in Suhodol and the second in Gorna Banya.

The football player was born on December 21, 1981 in Sofia.

Shortly after his birthday, he was a guest in the popular section of "Weekend".

Blagoi Georgiev snapped: I will never divorce

- What did you wish for on your birthday?

- What I always wish for is health and more health.

Not only for me, but also for all my loved ones, friends, relatives.

I pray that God will watch over and protect them.

May we be blessed.

May our guardian angels be with us always.

I don't make special wishes, especially for material things - they have no value, I realized that years ago.

God's blessing is important for every person.

The different things are bought, the craftsman...

- How was the past year for you personally and professionally?

Have you taken stock?

- For me, one of the most important things in my life is that my children are well.

And they are really good.

I am happy about them because they are the meaning of my life.

I care a lot about my family, my wife Polly.

I will repeat myself, but I will say again that I only pray that we are healthy.

Professionally, I don't do anything.

In the past year 2022, we managed to do several projects, which in 2023 will already be fully implemented.

Sports projects are a good thing, they support people's health and spirit.

- Do you have an unforgettable birthday to tell us about?

- Every birthday of mine passes in an interesting way.

Back in the day, I gathered a lot of guests, we danced, we made noise, regardless of whether I was partying in Bulgaria or abroad.

But things have changed.

I now gather only with my closest people, one table - well arranged, knocking for a toast.

A person does not need to be conspicuously extravagant to feel good.

I strive to live more simply, more carefully.

- What is your attitude towards gifts?

Do you tell your loved ones what you want or do you like surprises?

- Is there a person who does not like gifts?!

I don't know one!

I also love surprises.

But gifts interest me less and less over the years.

I prefer them not in the form of things, but as health, smiles, love.

I must have fallen asleep.

I even think that I am already speaking like an old man who has understood what are the most important things in life.

And in the Bible it is said not to accumulate anything that moths eat.

But I never part with the cross that Patriarch Maximus gave me shortly before he died.

He is one of the most important people I have ever met in my life.

I wear it around my neck all the time.

This is one of his crosses that will always have sentimental value to me.

- Do you think this cross is lucky for you?

- Definitely.

Wearing it around my neck, I know and feel that God is with me, that he will guide me to make the right decision.

Bad things have happened to me.

It has been difficult for me, but God has been by my side.

I am grateful to him for always saving me and getting me out of a situation.

- Have you counted how many tattoos with the face of Christ are on your body?

- Devotional, I don't count the tattoos.

When I was young, I wanted my body painted.

If I had thought the way I do now, I wouldn't have gotten a single tattoo.

Although I can't say I'm sorry for what I did.

That's what I wanted, that's what I did.

My tattoos are religious, because for other things on my body I did not want to be painted.

I would get bored of everything.

Only Christ is eternal.

- What is God to you?

- He is in the first place in my life and I think that every person should always put him before himself and trust him.

Without faith, a person is nothing.

I have friends who are not believers.

In time, something happens and they begin to believe.

Now I will give you an example of faith.

If you decide to plant a flower and you don't believe it will grow, it doesn't really grow from the ground.

However, if you believe that it will grow healthy and beautiful, it will.

Everyone has faith in themselves.

The question is when will he find her and trust her.

- What is the hardest and best moment in your life?

- The difficult moments are when I've lost friends, I've had operations, more serious injuries.

I have such violent incidents that I don't even want to remember them.

I don't want to go back to the bad at all.

The best moments are the births of my children.

I'll say it for the third time - stay safe and healthy.

- Are you worried about old age?

- Everyone is worried, of course, although I feel comfortable for my age.

I have a young spirit.

I live all 12 months from birthday to birthday to the fullest and know that every age is beautiful in its own right.

- How do you see yourself in five years?

- This is a long period.

I would probably do something related to football.

I miss the pitch and I'm bored without it.

I have plans.

My older son is involved in football, I will help him.

I will also help the other children.

I want to be useful with my experience and knowledge, to give courage and support to those who need it.

I would probably also be involved in some kind of business.

- Do you remember how much your first fee was and what you spent it on?

- I signed a contract with Slavia and received the first fee from there.

I don't remember exactly how much money it was, but it was a lot.

I gave them to my mother and father to the last leva, and they bought a car with them.

I decided to donate my salary myself because they deserve it.

They gave so much of themselves so that I could start developing professionally, they sacrificed themselves to support me.

I loved playing football since I was a child.

My brother and I kicked in the kindergarten, in the yards, in the kindergartens.

We ran from morning to night until our parents picked us up.

I dreamed of being a football player.

I am glad that I was able to realize this childhood dream of mine.

- Have you thought about what you would have done if you had not become a football player?

- I would probably become a priest.

Even when I was coaching football, I was reading the Bible and other church books.

I wanted to enter the Seminary, but because of the training and camps, I did not have the opportunity to prepare.

I think I would make a good clergyman.

- Is there a moment in your life that you would change in any way if given the chance?

- There is always room for corrections, there are moments that we don't wish had happened.

I have made dozens of mistakes, I have had a lot of unreasonable actions.

But there is no sinless person.

I've told friends that I'm probably the worst person ever.

I have learned from what happened and moved on.

A mistake is not good to repeat.

I strive to fix the things I don't approve of in myself.

It's a constant struggle.

- What is love for you - fiction in cinema and books or reality?

- Love is the strongest feeling.

Love is God.

When a person loves God, he also loves people and his other creations.

The best thing that can happen to a person is to fall in love.

I wish it to everyone.

- How did Polly win your heart?

- She is a woman of many qualities.

Besides being beautiful and kind, she finds a way to respect me, her parents, and the animals.

At the same time, she is a down-to-earth person, a virtuous woman, such as are hard to find these days.

Already in the second or third week, I knew that we were going to marry her.

It felt like there was great chemistry between us.

I'm glad we got married, even though it was a very quick decision.

She's not even a jealous wife.

She was never jealous of my female fans.

He knows that I am a person who has been through a lot and knows what he wants in the future.

- Are you planning a child?

- For the moment, the child is not on the agenda, although it is good to have children in any relationship.

- Are you dreaming?

- I dream of health - for me and for my loved ones, and for what will please God to happen.

- Favourite book?

- The Bible, which is the book of all books.

I've read it several times.

- Favorite movie?

"To meet Joe Black".

I can watch it over and over again.

An educational and heartfelt film.

- Favorite dish?

- Lean stuffed peppers.

I've never been a glutton.

The important thing is that the food is prepared with love and is shared with loved ones.

- Favorite car brand?

- I have not been a slave to a certain brand of car for a long time.

For me, the car should be comfortable above all.
