Assemble 9 century-famous violins from England, and even bring out the famous Stradivari violin that is recognized as the best sound to help out. The oldest string quartet in Britain reproduces the performance of baroque music 300 years ago. It is the first in Taiwan's history. once.

The Chimei Museum's "Magnificent and Splendid Piano Sounds of England" will hold two consecutive performances in Taipei and Tainan on February 11 and 12. Chimei has the largest collection of famous violins in the world. It not only provides exhibitions and student loan applications, but also hopes that more people can enjoy the beautiful piano sounds from centuries ago. Therefore, a series of music activities are held every year, focusing on violins. The top-level music feasts planned by fans all caused a sensation and instantly killed in seconds.

In addition to the performance in Tainan this year, the museum moved to the Eslite Performance Hall in Taipei for the first time to respond to the eager expectations of music fans in the north.

In response to the British National Treasure Portrait Exhibition "Faces of the Times: From Shakespeare to Red-haired Ed" currently on display in the museum, this violin feast specially takes Britain as the theme, planning "The Magnificent and Splendid Piano Sounds of England: From Stuart Art to the Windsor Dynasty" concert, selected 10 famous pianos with a history of more than 300 years to perform together.

Among them, the most famous violin is the only remaining British string quartet, made by the first Oxford luthier Baker (William Baker, ca.1648-1685), the 4 violins include the earliest cello in Britain with viola.

The special feature of this group of quartets is that it retains the original settings of the Baroque period more than 300 years ago, such as a shorter neck, a violin without shoulder pads and chin rests, a cello with no tail needle design, and a bow that is arrow-shaped and short, The strings are gut strings rather than steel strings, which are quite different from today's stringed instruments.

Other famous violins performed include the famous violin used by the well-known British composer Edward Elgar (Edward Elgar, 1857-1934) during the creation of the violin concerto; there is also the first international violinist in the UK, Mary.

The famous Stradivari violin held by Marie Hall (1884-1956), this violin made in 1709, was once rated as "the most recognized Stradivari violin" by the authoritative violin magazine Violin" is a dreamy masterpiece that all music fans want to listen to with their own ears.

In terms of program arrangement, the museum invited Zhong Daiting, the chief violin consultant of the Chimei Museum, to give a guided lecture on famous violins. He has studied the violin field for more than 20 years and is an internationally renowned violin expert.

Regardless of aspects such as violin making, violin repairing, and violin appreciation, he has been deeply involved. This time he will share the development history and moving stories of England's famous violins.

The museum also invited the "Infinite Principal Quartet" led by the former NSO chief teacher Li Yijin, with the characteristics of the famous piano and the arrangement of classic British songs of the same period.

In the first half, the oldest string quartet in Britain played baroque ancient music; in the second half, there were classic string quartets and Kreisler violin pieces by composers living in Britain and Europe from the 18th to 20th centuries;
