Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday.

The actor discussed the much-anticipated Film City project in Uttar Pradesh during his meeting with the CM, who is currently in Mumbai on a two-day visit at the Taj Hotel.

He also discussed his recent film 'Ramsetu' and urged the Chief Minister to watch it.

This meeting of Akshay Kumar and Yogi Adityanath lasted for 35 minutes.

Akshay Kumar informed CM Yogi Adityanath that there is a lot of enthusiasm in the Indian film industry regarding the Film City project to be built in Uttar Pradesh.

The actor has told CM Adityanath that many big production houses, producers, directors and actors are waiting for the Film City to start and run in UP.

He has said that the development of a world-class film and infotainment city in Uttar Pradesh will provide a new option to people associated with the film business to make their projects.



Akshay also discussed with the CM of UP about the research and preparations done in finalizing the script of 'Ramsetu'.

He reiterated that Adityanath should watch his film only once.

CM Yogi said that cinema has a big role in increasing public awareness and filmmakers should give importance to issues of social and national importance while selecting subjects.



He said that the film city in UP will be in line with global standards, a new film policy is also being formulated.

He also invited the actor to visit Uttar Pradesh.
