Queen Margrethe II and her eldest son Crown Prince Frederik and his wife Crown Princess Mary attended a New Year's reception for the diplomatic corps at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen yesterday, January 3.

Queen Margrethe II wore a burgundy jacket with fur collar and cuffs and a maxi skirt, brown suede ballet flats and white gloves.
Her Majesty also wore pearl earrings, glasses and painted her lips with bright lipstick.
Crown Princess Mary shone in a Julie Fagerholt heart made dress, wore Gianvito Rossi suede shoes, and carried a Boss clutch in her hands.
Mary put her hair in a laconic low ponytail, did an evening make-up and wore pearl earrings.
Her husband, Crown Prince Frederick, was in military uniform as usual.

At the beginning of the year, the Danish monarchs already attended one solemn banquet.
In it, Queen Margrethe II appeared in a velvet blue dress with a small train and a tiara, while her sister-in-law Mary also shone in an evening dress.
