[Reporter Liao Xueru/Hsinchu Report] The Health Bureau of the Hsinchu County Government stated today that on January 7 (Saturday), 13 township and municipal health centers will set up a COVID-19 new crown vaccination project, in addition to providing Moderna next-generation BA.4/5 In addition to bivalent vaccines, various vaccinations from infants to adults are also provided, and the services are provided by calling on-the-go and making appointments by phone; the Lunar New Year is coming, and folks are requested to get vaccinated as soon as possible to enhance protection.

According to the Health Bureau, 51 contract medical institutions and 13 township and municipal health centers in Hsinchu County continue to provide various vaccination services for infants to adults. Eligible people are invited to make an appointment for vaccination nearby.

Early vaccination can reduce the risk of severe illness and death after infection.

People who have received the 2nd to 4th doses of vaccines are requested to bring their health insurance cards, vaccination record cards (small yellow cards), and identity documents to the COVID-19 vaccine contract medical institutions in the county for vaccination.

According to statistics from the Health Bureau, as of yesterday, the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Hsinchu County was 95.28%, the second dose was 89.43%, the third dose was 71.66%, and the fourth dose was 14.47%.

The vaccination rates of the elderly over 65 years old were 84.2% in the first dose, 80.9% in the second dose, 72.4% in the third dose, 35.7% in the fourth dose, and 4.9% in the fifth dose.

Among children aged 5 to 11, the vaccination rate of the first dose was 84.9%, and that of the second dose was 64.1%.

The first dose vaccination rate of infants aged 6 months to 4 years old was 45.0%, and the second dose vaccination rate was 22.3%.

The Health Bureau reminded that the Central Epidemic Command Center has announced that starting from January 1 this year, if non-nationals without health insurance status are diagnosed with COVID-19 during their stay in Taiwan, the cost of isolation and treatment must be paid by the confirmed person.

The Health Bureau of the Hsinchu County Government reminds that non-nationals who are diagnosed with isolation and treatment expenses during their stay in Taiwan will pay for the plan.
