[Reporter Zhang Xunteng/Miaoli Report] To welcome the arrival of 2023, Miaoli City Daqian General Hospital welcomed 3 New Year’s Day babies today (1st), 1 boy and 2 girls, 2 caesarean section and 1 natural birth; Toufen City Weigong Hospital gave birth to 1 boy and 1 girl naturally, and the birth of the new life filled the entire delivery room with joy and happiness.

However, Zhou Zhiheng, Director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Daqian Hospital, pointed out that in recent years, the number of elderly women over 40 years old has increased. Therefore, regular check-ups must be received during pregnancy, so as to accurately grasp the health status of pregnant women and fetuses, and welcome the arrival of new life smoothly. .

Zhou Zhiheng said that there were two cesarean deliveries on New Year's Day this year. The first one, a 40-year-old woman surnamed Xiao, had her third child. Because the first two were cesarean deliveries, plus she had gestational diabetes and gestational hypertension during pregnancy, she was classified as high-risk. The pregnant woman had a dangerous pregnancy, so it was decided to undergo a caesarean section.
