From January 1, the rules for student admission to higher education institutions of group I will change.
According to APA, this was reflected in the change made by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on March 14, 2022 in the "Rules for admission of students to higher education institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan".
According to the decision, applicants must choose one of the two subgroups corresponding to the specialty or specialties they want to study in their application, or both subgroups, when filling out an electronic application for the I specialty group during document acceptance to higher education institutions.
Also mathematics (relative coefficient: 1.5), physics (relative coefficient: 1.5) and chemistry (relative coefficient: 1) for specialties included in the mathematics-chemistry (RK) subgroup, specialties included in the mathematics-informatics (RI) subgroup will be mathematics (relative coefficient: 1.5), physics (relative coefficient: 1.5) and informatics (relative coefficient: 1).
Until now, the I specialty group included mathematics (relative coefficient: 1.5), physics (relative coefficient: 1.5) and chemistry (relative coefficient: 1).
At the same time, applicants who want to participate in the competition of specialties included in the mathematics-chemistry (RK) subgroup of the I specialty group, as well as in the competition of the specialties included in the mathematics-informatics (RI) subgroup, must additionally take a distinction exam in the subject of informatics.
