The action of eco-activists and representatives of NGOs continues in the city of Shusha on the Lachin-Khankendi road in protest against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits, especially the Kizybulag gold and Demirli copper-molybdenum deposits, in the areas under the temporary control of Russian peacekeepers.

An employee of APA sent to Shusha reports that the participants set up a "Christmas tree" at the place where the action was held on the occasion of the New Year.

The Christmas tree, which is considered a symbol of the New Year, is made from waste plastic containers.

The campaign has been going on for nineteen days now.

Since December 12, Azerbaijani eco-activists and public representatives have been holding a protest near the post of peacekeepers.

The main demands of the protesters are the arrival of RSC commander Andrey Volkov, the creation of necessary conditions for monitoring by Azerbaijani experts, and an end to environmental terrorism on Azerbaijani lands.
