Today we remember how on this day, December 30, 1953, the day before New Year, Her Majesty attended a party organized in her honor in Auckland.

That year Elizabeth was on the throne for nothing at all, only one year.

The 27-year-old Elizabeth II is dressed in an evening dress, a headband and tall white gloves.

On one hand of the queen hangs a small handbag with a short handle, and on her dress is pinned a brooch with stones.

She also has small pearl earrings in her ears and a three-strand pearl necklace around her neck.

All her life, Queen Elizabeth II loved pearls and always wore them with pleasure.

They say she was even buried in her favorite earrings.
