Rapper Kanye West's constant anti-Jewish rhetoric has put him at the top of the Simon Wiesenthal Center's annual list of top 10 acts of global anti-Semitism, DPA reported.

West, who calls himself Ye, is in the forefront not only for uttering anti-Semitic remarks and espousing conspiracy theories, but also for "using his massive social media platform as a weapon of hatred, bigotry and ignorance," the group said on the rights of Jews on Thursday, writes BTA.

Kanye West helped make Jew-hatred part of the mainstream discourse on social media.

The list of leading examples of anti-Semitism in 2022 also included the UN Human Rights Council, which Israel accuses of unfair bias, the Palestinian Authority and President Mahmoud Abbas, attacks on Jews in the United States, Britain, Germany and elsewhere, the platform for messages Telegram about being a "cesspool" of hate.

In eighth place on the list is this year's edition of the contemporary art exhibition Documenta in Kassel, Germany, which was rocked by accusations of displaying anti-Semitic art.

Kanye West publicly announced his admiration for Hitler, the owners of the social network "Parlor" refused to sell it to him

"In Germany, taboos surrounding Jew-hatred continue to be violated by members of the German government and artistic elite, who have allowed anti-Semitic exhibits to be included in the prestigious Documenta exhibition by a group supporting the boycott of Israel," the center said.

Founded in 1977 and headquartered in Los Angeles, the Simon Wiesenthal Center became famous for its worldwide hunt for fugitive Nazi criminals.

However, the institution also seeks to promote tolerance and fight racism, anti-Semitism, terrorism and genocide around the world.
