Pingtung University held a Spring Festival couplets gift event, and the response was overwhelming.

[Reporter Luo Xinzhen/Pingtung Report] In order to welcome the Year of the Rabbit, National Pingtung University today (29th) held a heart-warming Spring Festival couplets presentation activity at the Art Center of Pingshi Campus, inviting calligraphers Li Minghuang, Zhong Xiuzhi, Zhang Shirong, Huang Huansheng, etc. People waved their pens on the spot and presented Spring Festival couplets to the people present. Alumnus Liu Zhenkun also demonstrated printmaking skills, attracting community residents, school teachers and students, and senior university students to participate, and the response was enthusiastic.

Before the opening of the event, Ye Naijing, head of the Department of Music of Ping University, led the master class students to play classical music with pipa and other ancient instruments. Then, Ping University President Chen Yongsen led the crowd to swipe their brushes on the spot to "raise the eyebrows and hare to welcome the new year". Teachers, students and the general public are allowed to write down the auspicious words they want by clicking on the Spring Festival couplets, and there will also be printed New Year pictures and couplets for the Year of the Rabbit.

The 72-year-old Liu Zhenkun graduated from the National Pingtung University (formerly the Department of Art Education of Pingtung Normal University). He has retired from Guanghua Elementary School in Ping County. Public welfare activities; Liu Zhenkun has always been grateful for the cultivation of his alma mater, and today he also donated his creations to the permanent collection of Ping University.

Calligrapher Li Minghuang graduated from the Calligraphy Research Institute of Kaohsiung Normal University. He has calligraphy background, art sketching, and the cultivation of ancient poetry and prose. He is good at promoting calligraphy in innovative ways, such as combining calligraphy with elements of local culture and agricultural products. The method replaces the traditional writing method, teaches students to "draw" calligraphy characters, and develops the art of calligraphy into a new cross-disciplinary culture.
