A number of properties of the former head of "Baku Steel Company" Rasim Mammadov, arrested in connection with the criminal case, were confiscated.

APA informs that this was stated in the judgment announced at the meeting chaired by judge Leyla Askerova-Mammadova at the Baku Court of Serious Crimes.

Those properties include Baku Oxford School located in Sabail district, Badamdar settlement, a company located in Sumgayit city, several private residences and garden houses.

The verdict stated that Rasim Mammadov's two houses located on Samad Vurgun Street in Baku and a plot of land in Baku were seized.

It should be noted that Rasim Mammadov was found guilty of embezzlement, abuse of power and forgery and was sentenced to 14 years in prison.

The damage caused in the criminal case amounted to 185 million manats.
