The next fish release was held in Yevlakh district in order to protect biodiversity, enrich water bodies, and increase the fish population.

APA reports that Firuddin Aliyev, head of the Biological Diversity Protection Service, said that with the participation of officials of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, representatives of the Water Transport Police Department and the Yevlakh City Executive Power, 100,000 baby fish were released into the Kura river crossing the territory of the Yevlakh region.

The head of the service noted that in order to contribute to the increase of fish resources in the country, more than 4 million baby salmon, crayfish and salmon were released into natural water bodies during the year.
