Meghan Markle once gave Prince William a spoon for Christmas with the words "cereal killer" engraved on it.

It was 2017, the very first Christmas that Meghan celebrated with the royal family, while still in the status of Prince Harry's bride, writes nypost.com.

This was told by Omid Scobi, the author of the book about Meghan and Harry "In Search of Freedom".

Meghan and Harry had just announced their engagement in November 2017 and at Christmas Meghan was keen to impress William, worrying about what to buy the future king.

Meghan wanted to emphasize her sense of humor, so a spoon for William emblazoned with "cereal killer" was very appropriate.

The joke was in reference to the fact that for breakfast the Welsh usually eat traditional oatmeal or cereal with milk.

Prince William was reportedly taken by Meghan Markle's humorous gift.

We will remind you that one Christmas, William's mother, Princess Diana, was embarrassed in front of the queen and her relatives.

She did not know that it is customary to give inexpensive gifts and bought everyone something very special.
