The first lady gave an interview to an international publication three days after the liberation of Kherson.

"Like all Ukrainians, at that time I felt indescribable joy from the news, although I tried to restrain it: because we understood what atrocities we would find after the occupiers. How much pain we will have to see. This pain in the news from Ukraine can be tiring. But, unfortunately, we we cannot turn off the news, because now war is our life.

My biggest fear is that people abroad will not get used to what is happening in Ukraine.

Therefore, I will not get tired of telling journalists about it, at official receptions, daily communicating with colleagues from abroad.

It is necessary to use every opportunity to be heard, because this is a guarantee of our support," Zelenska wrote in the post.

The wife of the president noted that this is exactly what she talked about in this interview.

On the official page of the Financial Times, a photo of Elena in total black was published.

She posed in the courtyard of the presidential palace.

"Zelenska's life changed after 4 o'clock in the morning on February 24. She woke up to the muffled rumble of explosions on the outskirts of Kyiv and noticed that her husband had already stood up, dressed in a suit and tie. When she asked what was going on, he simply replied: "It's all started." .

During lunch with the FT, the first lady talks about what happened on the night of the invasion and talks about the risks of "Ukraine fatigue," the post on the publication's page reads.

It will be recalled that Zelenska visited the "Okhmatdyt" hospital, where she read excerpts from Eleanor Porter's classic book "Pollyanna" to young patients.
