President Dr. Samia Hassan Suluhu has given Christmas gifts to three orphanages in Arusha Region.

Those centers are Joy of God, UmuAisha and Kindeness, all located in the city of Arusha

The gifts were handed over today by the Regional Commissioner of Arusha Region, John Mongella who said the President gave the gifts as a sign of love for the children living in those facilities.

He said the President has handed over the gifts in order to help the children with special needs (orphans) in those centers to celebrate Christmas and New Year

Those things are seven boxes of biscuits, 200 kilos of rice, 200 kilos of wheat flour, 90 liters of oil, and 100 kilos of sugar.

Arusha Region has a total of 91 households with children, 2,567 of whom are 1,291 females and 1,276 males.

In addition, the Joy of God center has a total of 24 children, UmuAisha has 16 children and Kindness has a total of 45 children.

And one of the caregivers who stay with the children, Mohamed Ramadhani from UmuAisha, has thanked the President for providing such help to children in need.
