The Main State Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) released information about an accident in Baku in which 3 people, including 2 minors, died yesterday.

In the information given to APA by the department, it was stated that at around 17:00 yesterday, in the area of ​​Turkan settlement of Khazar region, a "Hyundai" driven by 34-year-old Hasanov Abil Sadreddin oglu, a resident of Baku city, with state registration number 99-OH-223 and owned by 63-year-old Aliyev Gurban Polad oglu "VAZ 2107" cars with state registration number 90-EY-518 collided.

As a result, Gurban Aliyev and his passengers - residents of the capital, 13-year-old Lutfalizadeh Amina Ahmed girl and her sister, 12-year-old Zalina, lost their lives at the scene, and their mother Lutfaliyeva Nigar Elbrus girl and Ismayilova Ulviyya Eldar girl were injured.

In addition, 5 passengers in the "Hyundai" car - Babayeva Irada Guli, Babayeva Khatira Babakishi, Huseynova Nayiba Agaraza, Babayeva Goyerchin Arif and Zeynalova Tarana Murad were hospitalized with various degrees of injuries.

During the preliminary investigation, Abil Hasanov, the driver of the "Hyundai" car, said that he was tired because he had been engaged in non-stop taxi activities since the early hours of that day, and that is why he fell asleep behind the wheel and entered the opposite lane.

A criminal case has been opened and an investigation is underway.

The Chief State Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs appeals to the drivers and urges them to draw the right conclusions from the serious traffic accident that killed three people, two of whom were teenagers, not to sit behind the wheel when tired and sleepless, to strictly follow the traffic rules, work and rest regime: "We hope that individuals and legal entities, especially those carrying out passenger transport activities, will not be indifferent to our call and will follow the recommendations given for the safety of themselves, their families and other traffic participants."
