If the half-year waiting period expires, The descendants of Lin Boshou did not put forward any new disposal intentions, and according to the regulations, they must start the handover operation to retrieve the cultural relics.

However, during the period, the Kuomintang regiment continued to ask the Forbidden City to take the initiative to continue the "storage" in the name of rescuing the cultural relics of the "Lanqianshan Pavilion" in Taiwan. However, it was unable to provide a certificate of entrustment from any person in the Lin family who had the right to dispose of it, which made the Forbidden City rather difficult. The Forbidden City stated that "deposit" was originally a type of collection collection. In order to encourage depositors to donate, a design will be added in the future that "deposit" must be based on "donation" to confirm that the depositor has the intention to donate. In terms of practice, It can be divided into two types according to the circumstances of each case. One is that after the deposit contract expires, the Forbidden City will start the donation review process; If the person disagrees with the donation, the depositor will take it back, and the Forbidden City will no longer accept deposits.

The Forbidden City stated that based on past deposit experience, there have been cases where the owner agreed to donate after the expiration of the period; and the practice of premised on donation is not uncommon in foreign museums.
