[Reporter Hong Meixiu/Hsinchu Report] Hsinchu City’s 2022 Zhuchi Literary Award Ceremony was held today. This year’s essay categories include children’s poetry, youth prose, modern poetry, and short stories. Among the 346 submissions, 30 works stood out and won The winners include experienced literary creators and rising stars in the literary world, and it is also the cradle of urban literature development.

The Zhuchao Literary Award has been in existence for 26 years. With the theme of writing about Fengcheng, it encourages literary creators to devote themselves to literary creation. This year, Hsinchu County and the city are especially open to free creations with no restrictions on themes to enhance the diversity of urban literature.

Professor Sun Deyi of Tsinghua University, who is in charge of this year's jury, said that as a jury, I admire the creators who record the spirit of the times and bring voices from different viewpoints.

Affected by the epidemic in the past three years, all walks of life have been trapped in poverty and deprivation. Xia Yichun, the first prize winner of the short story, wrote "If there is an echo", which writes about the hardships of the epidemic era, but also uses words to convey warmth, which is quite valuable.

According to the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Hong Chenxuan, the winner of the first prize in children's poetry, used vivid and interesting poems to evoke the locked heart in readers' memory; Narrative from different perspectives, using robot monologues, leads readers to reflect on the emotions of technology and human nature.

Wang Weining, the first prize in youth prose, wrote "Blessings" to describe the sensitive teenage years, often inadvertently venting barbed words and emotions to the closest mother, and the text reveals the emotional tension of family affection.

Xia Yichun, the first prize winner of the short story, wrote "If There Is an Echo", which tells the story of the deaf parents and the protagonist living in this city. Although there are many difficulties in the process, they still handle things with kindness and are full of positive energy.

The list of winners of this year's Zhuchao Literary Award is as follows: "Children's Poems" first place: Hong Chenxuan "Lock", second place: Han Zichen "The Sign God", third place: Qiu Zixuan "The Gopher in the Head".

"Youth Prose": First place: Wang Weining <Prayer>, second place: Cai Yijin <Mourning>, third place: Liang Zhiying <Ritual>.

"Modern Poetry": first place: Wang Lanxuan "AI Girl", second place: Liu Xinhui "wind rises", third place: Tian Huanjun "small things in big cities".

"Short Stories": first place: Xia Yichun "If there is an echo", second place: Zhang Hongzheng "embers", third place: Tian Yanxuan "the last deliveryman".
