The Supervisory Board of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan addressed an appeal to international organizations and foreign non-governmental organizations.

APA reports that the application states:

"For information, we inform you that as a result of the discussions held with the command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent on December 3 and 7, 2022, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Service for Real Estate Affairs under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and "AzerGold" Closed Shareholder A team of specialists of the Society agreed on the preliminary monitoring of the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in the territories of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily stationed, as well as the resulting environmental and other consequences.

However, the team of peacekeepers grossly violated the agreement reached on December 10, 2022, and created an obstacle to the monitoring, and thus the monitoring did not take place.

Non-governmental organizations, ecologists and civil society activists of Azerbaijan protested against this action of Russian peacekeepers, as well as the illegal exploitation and looting of our country's natural resources, especially gold and copper deposits, as well as the environmental terrorism that occurred in those areas. is holding a peaceful protest on his way.

The demand of the participants of the action is very simple: put an end to illegal exploitation and looting of Azerbaijan's natural resources!;

stop the environmental terrorism committed in these areas and create conditions for monitoring those areas!

In addition, on December 14, as a result of the mine explosion buried in Kalbajar, which was freed from occupation by the Armenian armed forces, 7 compatriots were injured and 1 soldier was martyred, which led to the expansion of the demands of the participants of the action.

Currently, the country's NGOs are demanding an end to the illegal transportation of weapons and military units to the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan through the Lachin road of Armenia, the removal of our national resources from the country, and an end to mine terrorism.

Unfortunately, Armenia and the Armenian lobby are deliberately trying to distort the nature of the peaceful action of Azerbaijani NGOs, to deceive the international community in order to avoid responsibility, and they are conducting a campaign of lies and slander about the events that happened on the Khankendi-Lachin road.

The Armenian political leadership and Armenian separatists make untrue appeals to international organizations and foreign countries about the blockade of the Armenians living in Khankend and the surrounding areas by allegedly blocking the Lachin road, subjecting them to a humanitarian disaster or ethnic cleansing, and stopping natural gas transportation.

We declare with full responsibility that these information have no basis, they are all lies and slander.

In response to these lies, we also bring to your attention that NGOs and environmentalists have not created any restrictions on the free movement of traffic and people on the road to Lachin, the free movement of Russian peacekeepers' vehicles and humanitarian cargo is a clear example of this.

As they admitted today, there is no problem in providing natural gas and food to the Armenians living in Karabakh.

In addition, the state of Azerbaijan declared that it is ready to meet all the needs of citizens of Armenian origin living in this area.

Such an unreasonable reaction of the political leadership of Armenia to the legitimate demands of NGOs protected by civil and international humanitarian laws, such as the cessation of illegal exploitation of Azerbaijan's natural resources, an end to ecological terrorism, and monitoring in those areas, and an attempt to manipulate international public opinion, is unacceptable, and the organization of such an ugly campaign is their responsibility. indicates a desire to avoid responsibility.

We believe that Armenia should give up its territorial claims against Azerbaijan, comply with all clauses of the Tripartite Declaration signed on November 10, 2020, especially remove the remnants of its illegal armed forces from Azerbaijan, stop the illegal exploitation of natural resources, and put an end to environmental terrorism.

As the Supervisory Board of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, we appeal to all international organizations, NGOs of foreign countries engaged in the protection of the environment and ecology, including Armenia, and call on them to support the legitimate demands put forward by Azerbaijani NGOs.
