The Trade Union of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) employees held an event on the occasion of the professional holiday of the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees on December 16.

According to the news reported by APA referring to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the event was attended by the Chairman of the Trade Union of Ministerial Employees Mehman Ismayilov, Deputy Chairman of the Confederation of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Javanshir Alkhasov, members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Emergency Situations, regional centers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Employees' Trade Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and chairmen of trade union committees operating in other institutions, officials of the Ministry and a group of employees who distinguished themselves in their service activities participated.

Speaking at the event, Mehman Ismayilov, Chairman of the Trade Union of Ministry of Emergency Situations employees, congratulated the event participants on December 16 - the professional holiday of the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and wished them success in their difficult and honorable work.

Referring to the establishment date of the professional holiday, Mehman Ismayilov noted that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev signed the Decree on the establishment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on December 16, 2005.

According to the Decree of the head of our state dated December 8, 2006, December 16 is celebrated as a professional holiday of employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in our country.

Chairman M. Ismayilov emphasized that President Ilham Aliyev's decrees, instructions and recommendations regarding the establishment of the Ministry of Defense, the transfer of a number of important protection and rescue agencies to it, the improvement of the social situation of the personnel of the Ministry, including the living conditions, as well as Participation in a number of events related to the activity of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is a clear example of the high attention and care given to this field.

Mehman Ismayilov noted that the 17-year successful and efficient period of the Ministry is a sure reason to say that the Ministry of Emergency Situations will successfully continue its professional activities in the direction of preventing and eliminating the consequences of emergencies that may occur in the future.

The personnel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as always, will continue to perform the tasks set by the country's leadership with higher quality, promptness and loyalty.

In the end, 43 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations who distinguished themselves in their service activities, as well as a group of members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Emergency Situations, were awarded honorary degrees and valuable gifts for close cooperation with the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
