A Christmas-New Year's bazaar from today is the addition to the festive spirit in Momchilgrad on the eve of one of the brightest Christian holidays.

It is being held for the first time in the Rhodope town, and its idea is to contribute to the greater celebration of the urban environment and to support local businesses by promoting their activities, offering the products directly to consumers, and not through commercial networks.

In the several wooden houses in the center of Momchilgrad, handmade baked goods, meat products, souvenirs and other types of products are offered.

Part of the bazaar is the tent of the Bulgarian Red Cross, in which municipal and youth structures with a charity bazaar collect funds for children and adults at risk.

One of the first visitors to the Christmas and New Year bazaar was the mayor of Momchilgrad Ilknur Kyazim.

"We are people who value our cultural values ​​and we want all holidays, whether it's Bayram, Easter, Christmas or New Year, to be handed down from generation to generation," commented the mayor of the Rhodope city to BTA. 

Complementing the bazaar is the festive decorations throughout the city, including the Christmas tree whose lights were lit just days ago.

The municipal leadership has also planned a New Year's program on December 30 and 31, and on the eve of 2023.

"During the coronavirus pandemic, we realized that there is nothing more valuable than health.
