An important event took place in Buckingham Palace - the annual diplomatic reception.

He was visited by senior members of the royal family.

For King Charles III, this reception was the first since his accession to the throne.

Charles's wife,

Queen Camilla

, attended this reception in an elegant long evening dress from the Anna Valentine brand with a deep V-shaped neckline, she completed the look with a matching set of sapphires, her favorite hairstyle and makeup.

But no less interesting was the Queen's blue coat, in which she was photographed when she arrived at the event.

The fact is that this element of her evening dress was presented to her husband in 1998 by the designer from Saudi Arabia, Yahya Al Bishri.

This thing is called a dakla, it is a long robe, with buttons down the front, and is traditionally worn over the tha, a white, ankle-length robe worn by sheikhs in the Middle East.

The robe has long sleeves, buttons and beautiful embroidery with Arabic motifs.

This outfit is often worn at weddings.

Earlier this year, she appeared in it at Queen Elizabeth II's platinum jubilee celebrations, and she also wore it in 2008 and 2010.

Why Charles gave this thing to his wife is unknown, but the designer is delighted with this development.

"It's just a great feeling to see the whole world talking about my outfit," Al-Bishri told Arab News when he saw Camilla wearing it at the platinum anniversary.
