"Japanese Ukiyo-e Exhibition from the Yunke Collection" presents the prosperous and common people's culture during the Edo period.

[Reporter Zhan Shihong/Yunlin Report] From November 15th to December 22nd, Yunlin University of Science and Technology held a special exhibition of Japanese Ukiyo-e paintings from the Yunke Collection in the art center of the school. The 50 pieces on display were from the Edo period The Japanese ukiyo-e prints that have been handed down overlap with modern time and space, reinterpreting common people's aesthetics.
The 50 pieces of "Ukiyo-e" paintings currently in Yunsk University were obtained from Huang Guangnan, the former curator of the National Museum of History.
These paintings were made about 160 years ago. Their historical, artistic and cultural values are inestimable. They are world treasures and enrich the school’s art collection.

Yunke Art Center hopes that through different art media and interpretations, the collection is no longer just "collection", but through translation, so that "Ukiyo-e", a product of the prosperous common people's culture in the Edo period, can be combined with the modern life of Taiwan Form and campus life, so that more people can understand and discover its beauty and significance, and feel that art and beauty are actually in life.
Cloud Science and Technology University expects to transform the original items of common people's aesthetics in the Edo period into themes for cultivating people's aesthetic literacy through cross-generational dialogue. It also hopes to help everyone think deeply and feel the beauty of art, and leave an eternal legacy for culture, life, and art. witness.
